dodge durango
Hello, I have a 2001 Dodge Durango 4.7 slt (110000miles) and while I was driving, the rpm suddenly went back and forth. Then the acceleration pedal was not responding and when I stopped the car, the engine shut down.
Then when I try to start the engine, the check gages light is on. I managed to get the car park somewhere quickly after the problem occurred.
I'm far from being a mechanic girl, and this is my first car since I arrived in USA one month ago, I have zero knowledge concerning such type of cars.
thanks for your help!

Give us the codes you are getting, turn the key quickly but not too fast.:
2000 and newer directions:
Turn the key to ON (not start), OFF, ON, OFF, ON and leave it there. If you look in the odometer window the codes will flash any code(s) with a small delay between each result. Each code should be in a P#### format, and will say PDONE when completed - turn your key to OFF and remove. Use the OBD code list to determine what problem the computer detected.

ok thanks for your help! I tried to find the code as you told me by turning the key "on" "off", all I had as a result was "no bus". The car has been towed to a garage.
At first we've been told there was a shortcuts issues as well as ignition starter.
today we had a call from the garage telling us it was fixed, but there was a problem with the computer. I keep you updated, thanks again for your help!
