Default Transmission drain plug

hey guys I want to install a drain plug on my 45rfe transmission where would be the best spot to install it at.

Low on the back side so you can put the front on ramps and drain it all.

may want to look at a dorman trans pan, the one for my '05 was only $30 and had the plug in it, and was heavier metal than original

I did look up for one before but the only ones i could find is for a 4wd tranny pan but i need one for 2wd unless that doesnt matter

Will the dorman 265-171 tranny pan work for a 2wd as well? I've searched and yet to find definitive information on it.
