I'm sure I missed it but what year axle did you use up front? I've been researching the 98-04 Superduty 60s as I can find a lot of them close by for very little $.

Super Duty axles are definitely a good choice considering availability, which translates to decent pricing.

I turned away from them due to wheel pattern, vacuum actuated hubs, and other misc. Front is setup for radius arms, which I just detest.

Rear is a Sterling I believe and I'm not sure they still have tone ring in the back. None of it would be "bolt up" affair on a 2nd Gen.

However, they are one of the beefieeeeeeeesst axles out there.

Looks like you'll be more fitting to have a F250 type of badging than me. It's just my front axle.

How so?

Truck looks great!

And I was just picking about the F250 badging!

I think that comment was meant for me since the long term plan is for 2/3 of my drivetrain to be Ford in origin.

Oh, and 99-04 Superduty Dana 60s used leafsprings. Of course there are the odd Dana 50s from that generation also which you have to avoid.

Default Perches locked down

Ended up getting new front DS spec'ed out and picking up tomorrow. They checked the rear pinion angle and I had pretty well set at 6/10 of a degree (just over 0.5*). So with that, burned in the perches completely today.

Did the outboard first of both sides. Removed only the 1 ubolt.

Also hit the inside

Then finished the inboard sides

Curious as to why you chose to use a tapered zero rate when you have the perches off anyway?

Very cool project, can definately respect the amount of time and quality of work you've put into this thing.
