C'mon. The York 210 puts out 4 cfm at 90 psi 1200 rpm, while I run my A/C. I will be able to push 8+ cfm and most common air tools in the event of helping a Jeep.

Just playing dude but those are the specs. Using the A/c requires much more effort to ensure it's oiled properly and in most cases (that I've seen reported), they blow up and die. Yours still running is a fortunate one and perhaps you've got some good care into it.

forgot about the heat difference, I have an inline oiler infront of the compressor to suck in oil as well as I have done it to my jeep and I am always making sure they are maintained

I would love to have a air compressor on my truck as well since I am a bit of a mobile mechanic in my spare time. I would be interested in a set of those brackets.

I think you need to be doing up a DIY for the a/c compressor then.

I'll keep you in mind as I get closer.

Speaking of which, I am on way to getting closer.

Have to swap the alternator pulley with a combo serp/vbelt pulley.

However, I'm at a loss on decent method to pull the original pulley. Haynes is blank on this. I neglected to check the FSM... I've got this set of pullers. The small one and the pitman arm pullers won't work. I have not tried the other one.

I've got this on borrow to put it on.

At work we have a "special tool" for removing GM pulleys on power steering pumps and the like. It is a small cup that is split in two, you slip it on the inner part of the pulley where the shaft goes through and tighten the bolt in the puller down and it removes it. So instead of pulling on the outside of the pulley you are pulling from the center of the pulley. I dont know for sure that it will work on our alternators but I can sure check tomorrow if I remember.
