I think they may have stolen the Chevy bed frame, and fitted the Dodge shortbed panel design to it.

no, no, it is factory. some trucks came with them from the factory. there was a thread awhile back that said something along the lines of... an engineer from gm went to chrysler and tossed up the idea.

Since there still aren't any stepsides and I don't even think Ford is offering it anymore.

It doesnt help that pickups are way taller anymore. My 98 Dakota was taller than my 76 Ford f150.

My 76 is so short compared to my Ram.
But it has SOO much headroom.

Oh yeah. Mine was so fun to drive. Really fast. 390, holly 4 barrel, 4 on the floor, explorer package. Too bad the gas tank rusted... on the inside.

My 76 is such a hoot to drive. So fun to drop into neutral at a stop light and rev it when the choke is open on the 4 barrel.

I've got 90's behind the rear tires, so cars on both sides get 'MURICA! blared at them.
