I believe the whole Silver to Satin Glow transition may have been mid-year, as Purpl mentioned there were some color changes then.

Nope, the other way around, if Purpl is correct. They quit making purple and replaced it with Patriot Blue, which is the color of my truck. A dark-ish blue.

No, I read the press release wrong, am and now confused! Bright Silver Metallic was a new color for 2001. I will have to find my sales brochure and find out the silver color it replaced. Light Driftwood Satin Glow has always been a color option, as I think I saw it in my sales brochure. And, there were many changes mid-year of the 2001 models. The 2001 model year acually started on January 1, 2000 to avoid penalties from CAFE. Trucks built from January 1, 2000 to July 1, 2000 are 2001 models. Trucks built from July 1, 2000 to July 2001 are referred to as 2001.5 models. Most of these trucks have differences from the early 2001 models. I stole part of this from here: http://dodgeram.info/2001/index.html

Yes, you are correct. My truck is Deep Amthylest, and ranges from a very deep purple to a deep blue to a burnt black in different light, which is why many of my pictures turn out to look like a very black color, but in person it is purple.
I don't see my truck color on the list I looked at the code but then forgot it. I believe it is Sierra Bronze...........or as I refer to it as "light crap brown"
