Default Light Driftwood Satin Glow

WTF...right?

Thats what I said this weekend. *lil back story*

So Ive had some dings and scratches on my ram for awhile and ive always gotten touch up paint so nothing would rust. I just found a paint chip out of my newly painted talegate (woohoo!) Well no paint that I would get matched my ram exactly *even after looking in books*. I always figured it was just my aged paint, because ive always got the paint that was in the look-up books at auto stores.

Weellllll... the books are wrong. W/e the two colors are in the books, are not what my color is. After surfing the interwebs I found out that up to 2001 all of the "silver" rams were painted in..you guessed it Light Driftwood Satin Glow. That explains why people think my truck is gold in the sunlight, it does radiate with a certain golden glowi.

So there you go "silver" ram guys..unless you have a 2001+..your driving around driftwood.

And if you want touch up paint..google haha.

Yeah, in 2001 they deleted the silver (forgot what it was called) and replaced it with Light Driftwood Satin Glow. What was the MonthDayHour your truck was built in and what year?

that's good to know. i need to take a seat beside my rear lower fenders with the dremel and some touch up paint to stop the rock chips rust before it becomes a problem.

my door says PB7 for the blue and doesn't have a color code for the silver. the funny thing about the pb7 is that the touch up paint (mopar btw) has kind of a purple tint to it and it isn't an exact match.
