I use the Bosch 02 sensors, whereas 99% of the people here will tell you NTK. I have five NTK 02 sensors out in the shop that are junk after less than 20,000km on them.

As DrewA and I found out the rear 02 does play a small role in the fuel trim, so change both out.

I might go Bosch....but I cant get them till Advanced gets there site fixed.....they have them down the road but it wont let me buy them online cause the pick up at store button is blank....site down.....BS. $40 off $100 coupon code I cant pass on.

I own alot of Bosch tools...so cant be all that bad if they are the same company as auto parts. Ive used Bosch plugs and wires before with no issues. I've just never changed a O2 sensor period. Most my trucks never had them .

Thanks for all the help folks....I'm sure I'll be back for more. Hopefully I can get them in tomorrow and check the plenum with a magnet....I'll check the spark plugs also, #8 especially. Snow is soon so its gotta be gone thru as much as possible. Hard to get done when its rollin 6 days a week....1st Sat off in a while.

Seems strange that unplugging the front O2 makes it start, when the codes are referencing the rear O2......

Has your cat been gutted?

Advance is working ok for me. I'm offered an NTK for $40.19 or Bosch for $48.49
if i increase my quantity beyond their stock level, i lose the ability to choose that store.

watch out for shape, square vs round.
and length. you can double check mfg site for numbers. are front and rear the same? (i think they are but don't take my word for it)

Same sensor, different harness length. Rear sensor has longer pigtail.

What a joke that was...wish I read the post first. They gave me a 132 and a 139(NTK).....both matched the insert style, but not the plug. Rear came off fine....front a b==ch....... The damage on the front(Upstream) appeared I was in trouble. Got it back in and thought it was easy street.......WRONG.

Rear (downstream) came out good but would not go in. I finally got the downstream to grab(bad threads in the pipe) and the plug was wrong....instead of splicing the old plug I took it back(bad threads and all). Nobody has this part.... seems it comes up close to cali/manual trans by pics.....So 1 wire is broken right by plug, and I mean right by, no splicing. I get the smallest drill bit, drill next to broken wire, use thumb tack to open up, strip wire and wind, press in hole, thumb tack again to press wire in hole, liquid and real electrical tape. No codes yet on 2 fires. Shes gotta work tomorrow so I will know more.

I shoulda kept the new rear downstream as the threads in the pipe are shot. Cant find a 18x1.5 tap local. Filing and constant pressure finally worked. Cross thread or not....I didnt care at the time. But the old rear(downstream) is back in, and the front is new. No codes for now.....I sure hope it snows alot or gets warm for concrete, otherwise I'm gonna kick this girl to the curb. I mean can Dodge really find harder ways to access stuff? The plug on the upstream is at the top of the tranny??????

BTW both my sensors inserts look different, and both inserts (new) matched. Just not the plugs. Both plug lengths were the same. One insert had several "slots", the other just 4 small slots(slots in shaft in pipe).

No doubt Hey You.....thats what got me confused in the first place. Previous posts I read said "does it run better" with the upstream disconnected. It did. Starting was my issue though. Now this downstream issue just wants me to get a new O2 in there, but I need a tap if its gonna be right. Thinkin bout going to Advanced and get the part I brought back and splicin the plug in....took me 2 hours to get it to grab. Old one grabs fine but has basically no threads. Its Frankensteined for now but........

Got access to a welder? If so, just get a new O2 bung, and weld it on. Seal up the old one however you can.
