Nope. Bellhousing bolt pattern is different. Most of the internals will go in the 46 case though.

I would have a chat with someone that deals with them on a daily basis, and get a couple recommendations. For a truck, you don't want a real high stall..... under 2000 RPM would be my best guess. I think stock is somewhere between 1400 and 1800...... I keep seeing conflicting information on that.

Alright thats nice to know. I do have another question that puzzles me, when moving the truck right now while working on it, i have to put both the transmision and transfer case into neutral is this normal. i figured it would move freely with just the tranny in N but it doesnt.

Should move with just the trans in neutral. Now, bear in mind, it IS a rather heavy hunk of iron and steel you are trying to push around...... Not locked in 4x4 is it?

my father said the same thing that it should roll freely in N, and the transcase in 2H but it wont let me push unless the transcase is in N which means there might be somthing wrong with it, which might have accelerated the death of the transmission

Put it up on jackstands, t-case in 2Hi, trans in neutral, see if you can spin the rear driveshaft.

Your trans might be fine. Might be the t-case that is trashed. (or, they are both trashed....)
