I replaced my mfs and that didn't help. I'm going to replace my on off switch once I get the body work done. If that dosnt help can I just run a new ground wire from the light to were it grounds to the switch. Also why would a bad ground not kill both the low and high beam? There is just one ground wire grounding out to both high and low beams on each side. Sorry I'm having a hard time under standing the dodge headlight wiring night mare

Headlights get power thru the violet wire. (on the drivers side....) That is constant power, whether the key is on or not. The other two wires (Red w/orange trace, and violet with white trace) both run off to the headlight switch, and provide ground path.

The Red/Orange wire goes to splice 106, where it combines with the wire coming from the right side headlamp. The violet/white wires from both sides go to joint connector 1, in the pdc, and then off to the headlight switch. Since the passenger side headlight works fine, your problem has to be between the lamp, and the splice, and the lamp and the joint connector.... Trace the wires, see if they got pinched somewhere.

Does anyone know where the split is for the high beams? Under the hood or under the dash?
Thanks
Adam

You are looking for splice 106, it's in the power distribution center, under the hood.

Ok I've been able to dive into this wiring I have all the wiring stripped back I don't see any bad areas. But I have found a new symptom. On the drivers side with the highbeams on I get power on the solid vilot and vilot with white strip the red with org acts as a ground but as soon as I pull the passanger side socket off the bulb my center vilot and white wire starts acting like a ground (loses 12 volts) on the multi meter but still won't light the bulb up. If I pull the 15 amp rt head lamp fuse the left side will light up a little. Note this is only a highbeam issue

I just switched my bulbs and noticed one is a Wagner hb1 9004 12v 65/45w dot u china c0114 and the other is a Wagner hb5 9007 12 volt 65/55w dot u china c0314 and now that I switched them I'm getting a dim highbeam on the drivers side. What are the stock light bulbs on these trucks?

The bulb wasn't the issue. I ended up rewording my ground wires. Everything works now. Thanks for the help
