Default keeping the slave in place during clutch rebuild

My wife's 98 Dak had a leaking hydraulic clutch. ( I know not a 2nd gen.)Pretty easy one piece install. Now a month later the throw out bearing is screaming. Does anyone know of a way to keep the piston in place while a clutch rebuild is preformed? Thanks great Dodge gearheads.

Pull the slave, and secure the pushrod with a zip strip. Or something similar.

A steering wheel puller works too.
