I have a question maybe a lot of you or none of you have run into but anyway.....it started when I removed and cleaned fuel injectors. When I went to install them I noticed that the brackets that fit between the rail and injectors were not allowing them to seat all the way down into the engine only on driver side. I can see the top of o rings but seems to be no fuel leakage. Is this normal?
I'm not sure what bracket your talking about? Can you take a pic? Does it look the same as when you took them out? If its visibly higher than the other side, then it is not normal and should be fixed asap.
The brackets at the top of injector fit into grooves and the slits line up with the fuel rail to hold it in place as you can see but if you notice at the bottom it seems to be a little off of where you would think it should be??? The other side is exactly flush with engine.
They may be pressed further into the fuel rail, instead of the intake. Take it back out, put a little oil on the o-rings, and press it back in. Also, make sure the holes are nice and clean.
