Default curious if fuel pump could be a factor

Aren't intermittents fun?
Could a failing fuel pump/pressure regulator cause the problems I'm having?

Possibly, they tend to be much more consistent though.

Hey guys,
Now the truck is dead won't even start but turns over. No codes anymore just "pdone".I pulled the plug on the wiring going to the cam positioning sensor and checked voltage. I am obviously not real good at this computer stuff and intermittent shorts but I am trying. If you look at the plug with the long side up (like an upside down bell with the yellow in top center?) Top row L-R 5.15, .02, 5.14, bottom row 5.15, .02, 5.14.
I am slow at this because I am disabled, not whining just in case your wondering why this is taking so longer. Hard for me to get into some of these positions but I am learning at least. Should I plug it back in and test at every sensor? So frustrating especially since I used to be a good mechanic just not in this area.

also fuel pressure at the rail is about 50# so that's not an issue.

So what's missing? Spark, or injector pulse?

HY,
Just checked for spark out of coil and nothing and of course no spark at the front plug either. How do you check injector pulse?

Noid light, or test light across the terminals in any injector connector. See what ya get.

Most parts stores will have noid lights, you should be able to pick up just the one you need. (as opposed to buying the full set.)

Thanks Hey you. I checked with my local parts stores and they don't carry them but Amazon does so I got it coming. You have been a big help and I will keep you posted after the tests have been done.

Received Noid lights today and the plastic on the injectors was so brittle I was only able to check three but they all flashed once to indicate that they are getting a signal. The vehicle won't start so no way to check it while running. I also picked up a Relay tool that checks all of the relays one by one and they are all good. Took dist cap off today and checked the inside of distributor to make sure all was in order and it was. Now it's throwing a P0340 code again and won't start even while on a 40 amp charger in start mode. I'm not sure which pins or which plug on the PCM to pull and check for voltage. This is the longest I've ever had any of my vehicles down and I still haven't found the problem. I'm about ready to put a FORD sticker on the side of the truck! Just ordered a Mopar Camshaft position sensor, it will be here on Wednesday. I just can't imagine it being the answer but It was suggested and at that point everything has been replaced some things twice. This is driving me crazy.

Did it only flash once? Even while cranking??

Flashed one time only on all three that I tested. Seems that if the CPS was bad it would do this but Hey who knows at this point.
