less than 100k for $500 is worth it !

I agree, Id just hate to get a "working" engine that doesn't work.

People on the southside of town here are known for being kinda shady. Family member recently bought a transmission from someone there and it wasnt the proper one (Though ALMOST unnoticeable in difference), and the guy was like oh sorry I'll have the proper one tomorrow, and then basically skipped town. Leaving them stuck with the wrong transmission and down 300bucks.

Or even a working one what that has some other hidden issue..

When you buy used, from ANYWHERE, you take the same chance. Even buying new, it's quite possible to get burned. So, you pays yer money, and takes yer chances.

Indeed but at least salvage yards (Real companies) that offer warranties/promises ect. are sure to come through on them. Just concerned because this build has a fixed budget so I need to penny pinch and be careful.
