Beeker knows, he's had his dash all apart.

I'm guessing the previous owner pinched the hose while installing the heater core

It's very likely a pinch could occur when reinstalling the dash. Even when taping the hoses back to their original location. I routed my hoses over the top of the air box instead of behind it when reinstalling the dash to avoid any chance of a pinch.

Here's a good look at the rear of the the air box. You can see 2 of the silver can actuators that are mounted to the right of the gas pedal.

I'm working on the truck now and I can't find the leak, this thing only makes the noise when in gear and accelerating. It's coming from this area it sounds like

I checked the blend door actuator and it's not coming from behind there, and it's hard to tell where it's coming from because I can't visually see anything back there and it won't leak unless I'm accelerating in gear

Get a nice bright flashlight. See if you can follow the lines where they go, or, move them GENTLY to someplace you CAN see them.

Might grab a friend, have THEM drive, while you go poking about too....

I'm second guessing a vacuum leak, wouldn't it leak regardless if the truck is in gear or not? Even if I'm in gear hitting the gas it won't make a noise and I don't hear anything unless I'm actually accelerating, which the noise gets louder as the Rpms raise

Might have to take a look under the cowl, where the wiper mechanism hangs out, and check the lines, and vacuum reservoir found under there.

Not celebrating too early but I just got home and stuck a light into the cowl and boom, hose has a hole in it! Hopefully it's not a dead bug lol
