Default U-Connect 8.4 and IOS

All -

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue...and if there is a fix/setting I'm missing. It happens pretty regularly and I'm puzzled.

I have a 2017 Citadel with Uconnect 8.4. I often play music from my iphone 5SE with iOS 10.2 via Bluetooth. It works great and I'm a happy camper. When I'm done and get to where I'm going, I turn the car off & close out my music Library on the iPhone (in fact, I'm pretty obsessive in making sure I have nothing running in the background on my iPhone in general). Bam - I'm out...I play with the kids, have dinner and go to sleep.

So, I hop into my car in the morning and like to listen to a detailed weather report from a New Hampshire TV station that has a web presence...I start the car, let the phone be recognized, open the App on the phone and start the weather report video feed. I switch to "Audio Controls" on the UConnect - I"m connected via Bluetooth - I hear the weather report playing through the car speakers...then the UConnect Screen shows the name of a band (not necessarily the one I was listening to the day before - but one I have listened to in the past for sure) and music starts to play through the car speakers. So, now I have BOTH the weather report from the App and phantom music playing on top of one another. I didn't open my music Library on the iPhone and the phone doesn't show that the music Library is open.

The question I have is, what's going on between my iPhone and UConnect that causes this "remembering". Rebooting the phone doesn't fix the issue...

This is by no means a fatal flaw - I've found the UConnect 8.4/iphone 5SE Bluetooth experience to be pretty great...I know others have not...but I am curious as to what's going on...

Any thoughts?

Though I love U-Connect I have a few issues with the latest version.

- I have noticed at times that when I connect via AUX or Bluetooth I have to turn up the volume to hear the source at reasonable levels. When I switch back to Radio/Sirrius XM it's too loud. I know there is a setting in the options to adjust volume for external sources - though it does not seem to make a difference. I think this needs to be addressed. Mind you I do not have the Beats system in my 2015 R/T.
- Since the latest update it seems like my iPhone/U-Connect has a mind of their own. Previously my son could play Candy Crush on my iPhone and everything will be fine. Now once CC is launched my U-Connect immediately switches over to Bluetooth and I hear the CC music. I even switched sound to off on CC, and it still plays on U-connect. It's annoying. Also when my iPhone screen turns off music on my iPhone will automatically play through Bluetooth on U-Connect. When I look at the unlock screen I can see that Music is playing. I constantly have to push the Radio button to undo the automatic switch. I would recommend FCA to update Uconnect to notify you that some external source wants to play on UC and you can either accept, cancel or just ignore. This would be very similar to the Siri dialog that comes up when it's activated on the iPhone.
- Lastly, though my UC will never be updated to Apple/Android Carplay, it at least has Siri integration. The one thing I would like enhanced is when I ask Siri for a location/directions I would like this information to be sent to UC's mapping system instead of just showing up on my iPhone. I do not know if this is possible though.
