Default Twin 3ft LED strips Underhood = Stadium Brightness! Pic Intense!

Here I go again with more light mods...hahaha Totally worth it! First mod of it's kind to date I'm sure of it!

2-3ft Cool White LED strips along the outer edges of the hood. They clear the fenders and everything. Wiring is tucked behind the hood liner and ran along the shock. I heatshrunk and taped up all the wiring like a pro..haha

I took these pics as the day progressed so it started to get darker and darker.

The Sun has just set.

Getting Dark here!

Stadium Brightness under here!!! Check out the next pic looking down the side of the engine.

That's a good mod. You can use it to work under the hood since the LEDs draw such little current.

Adding it to my future mods list

Looks great, where did you buy them?

I am guessing you simply tapped into the factory under hood light plug making this install simple?

Are the lights held in place with two sided tape?

I bought the LED roll online and had to actually make the kit and wiring harness myself. Yes they have double sided tape but I taped them up every foot incase the tape doesn't hold. Time will tell.

I didn't tap into the stock hood light power but I easily could have as iits a constant 12v source. If I make more, I'll be doing just that.

I've already thought about. I have plenty of material to do so if your intersted.

It wouldn't be mass quantities, just a few kits that would make me my money back on what I've already done. PM me for details or check out my sig link!

Looks really good. I though about this some time back with a mercury switch. My only concern (and i see you already addressed it) is how they hold up over time frkm the heat of the engine bay. The lights im sure will be fine but the adhesive is what i question

Those are outstanding!! I would definitely buy one from you also. (hint hint) lol

I would have to look at my hood but I think a bunch of thin zip strips might hold really well.

On a side note--I just printed the install you did on the lights behind the grill so that is in the works. Thanks for the write up.
