RE: Cleaned MAF Sensor 4-5 MPG Better
pics of the sensor. I have 50223 miles on the truck. Its great tooling around town getting 14.1 MPG compared to 10.1 MPG before. The 15.9 MPG was going 65 MPH on rolling hills east of Denver CO.
The guy at Checkers said a new sensor runs ~ $265 and not to touch the blue probe when cleaning it.

RE: Cleaned MAF Sensor 4-5 MPG Better
Your right, the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is correct. What's a MAF between friends.
On page 6-24 of the Chilton Dodge PICK-UPS 2002-05 Repair Manual shows the same sensor for the HEMI infigure 8.2c
The 4.7 IAT is shown in figure 8.2b.
The 3.7 IAT is show in figure 8.2a

I thinka Dodge Dealer could do it for you.
But... Be careful with it. If you can't take the back off a watch to replace a batteryor can't afford a new IAT...then don't do it. As long as your remove it bytilting it toward you just enough to get it over the stop and rotate counter clockwise, disconnect the wiring, don't touch the probe, clean, reinstall clock wise andconnect wiring.
I let you in on what really went on during the cleaning. I removed the sensor, start to clean it with paper towel then sprayed WD40 on it, then I thought I should goto checkers and get MAF (IAT) cleaner. It worked out in the end for me. - Skip the paper towel and WD40, only use the CRC MAF cleaner and be sure not to touch the blue probe.
I am a repair hack but the MPG is real.
