You're pretty much gonna need that rolled truck as a donor. 1999-2002 4.7 is jtech PCM, '03-'07 is NGC ( 3 plug vs. 4 plug is easiest way to know what you have). You'll need PCM and wiring harness. Also, I think you're gonna find that '02 has 16 tooth crankshaft ring gear, '05 has 32 tooth tone ring.

Pick up a factory service manual.
I've done 4.7 and 4.7 HO rebuilds but never an engine swap, so maybe someone who has will chime in. But this is what I do know.
The '05 is the last PCI Bus, so you're good there. However, as I stated, the '02 has a J Tech PCM - three wire because that truck has a separate, dedicated TCM (transmission control module). The '05 has an NGC PCM and has four wires because the TCM is integrated within it. This is why I believe you'll need to use the wire harness out of the '05.
I also know you'll have to have the dealer program the '02s VIN into the NGC or the sentry key immobilizer module will prevent the truck from starting.
Also, if you are in an inspection state you have another major hurdle. To pass smog, you'd have to have a J Tech engine. The NGC is not compatible with your emission equipment and will always generate a CEL unless you get a custom tune.
That's about all I have off the top of my head. Good Luck...

Oh and your "timing issue" you mentioned in the other thread goes back to what I said about the different tone rings between the years. The J Tech is expecting the 16 tooth which tells it when the compression stroke hits TDC, that '05 has a 32 tooth ring and reports when every stroke hits TDC.
Hope this helps some...
