02 Ram 1500 wop wop wop noise (cute huh)
Ok just got done doing a bunch of work on this truck.
Problem is I still have a "noise" and mild vibration.
Only 50000mi on it.
Suspect drive shaft is either out of balance or possible u joint issue but not sure.
"womp" timing seems to correlate w/ shaft revolutions but???
Need a start (b4 I pull the shaft) as to alternate noise/vibration causes
4wd single cab full bed.

New tires, just balanced and attached.
Actually leaning toward a bad wheel bearing on the rear..
Downshifting doesn't seem to change the noise..
Just had those discs replaced too.
2 mechanics could have found it I guess..
Trying to decide if I want to do this myself..

Just to finish up this story..
Got rid of the Chrysler differential and dropped in an Auburn..
Replaced the parking brake pads (what a mess inside.. no pads on one side, frozen to backing plate ect. Stupid dual springs on the bottom (no decent way to get the one on w/out pulling the axle))..
Replaced pinion bearing and all axle bearings (lots of metal particles from the crappy differential busted spacer clips, only lost 2)
STILL had some noise..
Had to replace pass. side front wheel ASSEMBLY (don't get me started)
First one (drivers side) was replaced at 40k..
Did I mention only 50K miles?
New tires, new rear shocks..
total bill for this year over 2 grand (includes tires which is the only replacement I consider "normal" and I suppose the 2 shocks on the rear..
You would think I was done.. NOT...
Got a bad ball joint on lower arm.. ANOTHER "special" piece.. and a PIA anyways..
Only real work I could do myself was the brake shoes and shocks..
FORTUNATELY ring gear and pinion gear were fine
Done venting..
No more Dodges...This truck was used like a car..really no excuses in my mind..
