Default '04 Hemi 4X4 HELP

Within the last week my truck has started to make funny noises from the front end while turning my wheel. Has anyone had any problems with this or have any troubleshooting hints. It sounds like a loud whine. Need help.

check your power steering fluid level, add some if necessary. That's the easiest/least expensive fix. A bottle is $1.99 at autozone. If the doesn't do the trick it may be something more serious such as the pump, bearing, joints or any other number of pieces of equipment in the suspension. Early third gens have a habit of leaking a bit of power steering fluid, so start there, and if the problem persists, speak up.

That's what I thought as well, but I haven't checked the levels yet. I am new to owning a 4X4 and didn't know if I needed to grease the front axle or something else that might be causing the whine.
