98 caravan map sensor
hello, i have a 98 grand caravan 3.3, i'm finding the map sensor signal wire that informs the PCM of the MAP sensor voltage reading as it changes is showing a voltage of 2.8 volts with key on engine off.
I read that it should be about 1 volt on idle and close to 5 volts wide open throttle.
i'm getting 2.8 volts at idle and the van stalls when idle if i give it gas it runs smooth, as soon as a let go of the gas it wants to stall.
does this 2.8 volts @ idle indicate the MAP sensor is not working properly?
this could be why the engine runs better when i give it gas then when i let it idle.
the ground wire and the 5 volt wire test out ok.
