My '90 is missing it's required 3rd brake lamp . There are no Daytona's around here and I can't find a pic on line of rear hatch to see where it should be . I'm thinking the hatch on my car has been swapped ?
Would anyone be kind enough to take a pic of their factory 3rd brake light to give me a clue . Thank you .

 

the lamp is mounted BETWEEN THE TAIL LAMPS AND NOT IN THE HATCH, it is the small one between the R/L tail lamps.

 

Thank you !!!! I would never have thought that , I expected it to be high up on the hatch and when I didn't see evidence of one having been there I assumed I had an earlier model hatch on the car . Thanks again for the help. Nobody posts pics of the rear of the car especially with brakes applied .

 

I took these cars for granted , now I have one I've noticed ... THERE AREN"T MANY LEFT !!!

 

On my '86 Daytona, the 3rd brake light is in the center of the spoiler. I believe it has two screws holding it in.
