Have a 89 Shelby with extra tranny. Don't know if they match or what it is worth.

Have you tried to clean the transmission valve body and change the transmission filter and fluid. It's an easy "fix" and if you have high miles on the car, they might need servicing?

Here is a good source of trouble shooting and repair:
www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1850107076/chryslerplymouth

www.allpar.com

www.forwardmotioninc.com

These company specialize in Front Wheel Drive Dodge cars.

P.S -Here in the US we don'tuse the vehicle identification number (VIN) to order partsand service (I spent 4 years inGermany and that's what theGermans use when they go to an auto parts store). Normally just the Year, make, and model of the vehicle with the engine type will be all the informationyou need to order parts in the US.

You may want to consider doing a 5-sp swap. That was my choice for my 86 Z when reverse gave out. It was certainly more fun that way too!

my car did the same thing, under the hood is a black box, with all the fuse-able links, located infront of the shock mount, its a 20 amp fuse, prolly either blown or dirty connection, does the rpm gauge work? if not the fuse is shot, if the radio dont work neither then that would be ur problem, i believe it is the ignition fuse. if that dont work let me know maybe i can help u out.

You may have to remove the side cover of the transmission to drain the fluid. I think my '86 is that way on my 5-spd.
