re-timing 2002 dodge intrepid 3.5 liter after broken belt need help**
guys i need help. i have a 2002 dodge intrepid 3.5 liter second generation v6. the tensioner bearing failed; sheared teeth on belt. purchased kit with belt, water pump, and new pulley for tensioner. i tried lining up the timing marks on the cams and the crank 3 times... no start and no compression on all 6 cylinders. is the procedure to time the engine after the belt breaks the same as before the belt breaks? i know that #1 piston has to be at top dead center of the compression stroke with both intake and exhaust closed.
