Default Timing Belt Service

The factory service manual states the timing belt to be replaced every 60,000 miles.

If it is the original belt I would change it, the tensioner, and water pump ASAP. It will be a good time to also check your motor, transmission, and strut mounts if your car has them. If you never done a water pump before or never on a neon it's a bear.
