I have had trouble with turn signals and hazard lights. I replaced all of the lights on both the front and rear, then turn signals work for a short time, like 1 week, and now when you set turn signals to either left or right, lights for both sides will burn solid and neither will blink.


I have been told to replace the Combination Flasher, which I think is Blue, but I can't read the model number, it is in a cramped space and I have been told to disconnect the Battery Negative before removing it, or it could set off the driver airbag, unless I can disable the airbag.



Engine is a 5.9L, 8 cylinder.

 

As has been said before strange electrical issues can usually be traced to a bad ground, though this case may be tricky to track down. You may want to find a schematic and clean some grounds. I don't know where you are located but up here in the North East our van can have their share of corrosion.

 

It's rather easy to disconnect the battery ground. Got a 10mm narrow deep socket handy? Then pull the blue part flasher control. Then reconnect the ground and head over to the parts store. Installation still needs the battery ground removed too.

Also by chance is the wrong rated fuse located on the fuse panel for the signal?

BTW, when putting the battery ground cable back on make sure it's firmly tight, but not over tightened. A loose battery cable will prevent the alternator from charging the battery properly. It will cause the alternator to run at 14.6V and not 13.8V normally due to the voltage regulator in the PCM.
