Default Speedometer and odometer stopped working

Hi greetings from Norway! I have just bought a stratus and my speedometer and odometer stopped working, I`am pretty good at mechanics but I have no wiring diagram for my car with`s is 1997 mod. 2.litre engine. I have tried to replace the speed sensor at the manual transmission just at top of the gear box a little right in the engine compartment from the front. I got a second hand one but it did not help and I also tried to change the instrument panel witch I think was from a 98 or 99 stratus, I looked at the electric panel in it and it was pretty similar but it did not work any better.
So I took out the speed sensor with`s has three wires and the one in middle was earth, one had 9 volt and the last one had 5 volts. I used a drill and spun the sensor at low speed and the 5 volt wire went down to around 2 volt and up to five again at faster speed. I turned the ignition off and on and suddenly I had 12 to 10 volts at one that had 5 volts so i I can not quite understand whats wrong?

I have wiring diagram for Neon and I think the sensor is the same but the tree wires goes right to the engine control module(ECM)

Anyone could help me here I would much appreciate it!

Today I finally found out that there is a gear missing down in the transmission that connects to the speed sensor plastic gear, maybe I must take apart the gearbox but I`am not sure any advice is wanted!
