P0340 and P1391 codes keep coming back
2003 Ram 2500 van 5.2 L engine - have replaced crank position sensor, distributor, cam position sensor, Distributor cap and rotor button - plugs and wires are not old . Firing order is correct. Idles rough and has raw gas smell from exhaust, smooth on acceleration, starts missing as soon as you reach desired speed and give a little acceleration. Sometimes accelerator sticks a little when stopping - tap and idle will be normal. Sometimes starts and dies right away 3 or 4 times in a row. CEL is on and will came back on right away when cleared and restarted also both codes come back Thanks for any advice..

P0340 No Cam Signal At PCM
P1391 Interm Loss of CMP or CKP
You have a wiring problem, or a failing PCM. It's whining about not getting signal from cam sensor. (for the most part) Verify that you are getting at least 5 volts TO the cam sensor. See if you are getting return signal from the cam sensor at the PCM. Might want to check the connections at the pcm, they like to get cruddy, and stop working properly.

i have been having to replace the cps and crank sensor every year when it gets cold. this year i replaced both and now I have all cylinders miss firing. All but cylinder 5. It also shows that that i have several codes for the coils. i did just replace all of them last summer. Any ideas? i have a 2002 dodge ram slt with a 4.7L . Would it be the tps?
