I think this Road /Track Performance option puts some of the SRT8's underpiining under this 5.7 Litre, adding 10 more horse, 20 inch chromies etc etc.
It also puts the SRT8 Interior in the car, with "R/T" embosed in the back of the seat, instead of anm SRT8 logo in the headrest.
So it's a Magnum RT (which gives you a Hemi) with a Road /Track Performance Package on it
Sorta like a Magnum R/T "squared"
This car would have NEVER been ordered by a guy walking off the street, because a SRT8 CHALLENGER can be bought for $53,000....or LESS...so all guys would go the extra for the Challenger
The Magnum carried a sticker of $ 47,220.00...WILD!!
I'm just happy someone ordered a car "For Me" , without knowing it!!!
Take your time and read on..
But Chrysler did not "finish" the car to my taste....so...
We painted the grille and lower grile cavity..Flat Black.
We painted a portion of the hood Flat Black, with a stripe surround
We painted the Front Header Emblem Red
We painted the belt mldgs on the doors..red..to visually bring the lower plane upward..to the same height as the lower horizonial line of the rear qtr glass.
We then paint the door frame flat black..to get the upper portion of the door glass to "rise" to the
same visual height of the rear qtr glass upper plane.
We then painted the rear "C" pillar flat black..to flow the glass together.
We painted the Chrome Mldgs in the bumper and door B/S Mldgs ..Red.
We are removing ther HEMI nameplate from both front fenders.
Like the SRT8, we painted the upper spoiler on the lift gate colour key red ( it was black)
We deleted the MAGNUM and Ram Nameplate off of the rear Gate
We are keeping the R/T nameplate on the gate, but we painted out the chrome edging of the letters flat black.
We used one of the HEMI nameplates we took off the front fenders, but painted the outter edges flat black, and
painted the chrome "HEMI" letters red, to match.
We inserted this name plate, just below and off to the right of the R/T nameplate on the rear gate.
We tried to create a look that everyone will think as factory.
As matter of fact..this is the way Chrysler should have presented the car for sale
