2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack: Pure Family-friendly Muscle

By -

With loads of cool features, prodigious power, and plenty of practicality, the new Charger Scat Pack is a solid all-rounder.

Hellcats and Demons get all the press, and for good reason. But for those looking to maximize their muscle on a budget, it’s hard to beat the Dodge Charger Scat Pack. This is especially true for the revised 2019 model, which packs an awful lot of content for a relatively small outlay of cash. Thus, we were particularly interested to see how actual owners of the new Charger Scat Pack feel about their rides.

Enter this video review from YouTuber Venom 392. He just picked up his shiny new ride a couple of weeks ago, and he’s already digging it. The non-functional grille vents, taillight design, and new bumblebee badges, in particular, are nice touches on the outside.

On the inside, our new 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack owner notes that his car shows an SRT logo upon startup on the digital screens, not the bumblebee as others have said. And he’s particularly impressed with the driving modes. “Before, only the Hellcats had this, I think,” he points out. “Right now, I’m on street transmission with street traction and paddle shifters on. But you can go custom, however you want.”

There are indeed a number of modes, including the ability to easily flip track, sport, and auto modes on and off with one simple touch. He points out that the exhaust “definitely sounds different as well. “Definitely a little better” than the outgoing model.

Our host also notes that he’s going to have a family soon, which played into his decision to buy a 2019 Dodge Charger Scat Pack. And that’s quite honestly an underrated bonus of the four-door sedan. After all, where else are you going to find a brand new, family-friendly muscle car these days?
