2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Sixpack Could Make 650+ HP for $529
Existing tunes for the Hurricane I-6 give us a preview of the cheap power ready to be unlocked by 2026 Dodge Charger owners.
It’s no secret that the 2026 Dodge Charger has been, well, a bit of a letdown for many, to say the least. The inexplicable decision to ditch the beloved V8 in favor of the newer twin-turbocharged Hurricane I-6 is a controversial one, at best, even though it makes impressive power right out of the box. For most, however, it’s all about the sound, and in that regard, an I-6 will never touch a V8 in any capacity. However, there is no denying that the 2026 Dodge Charger packs loads of tuning potential as well.
In this video from the YouTube channel OCMotivator, our host discusses precisely that – coaxing quite a lot more power out of the Hurricane-equipped 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Sixpack than its factory ratings of 550 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque, all for a mere $529-$699. In fact, he points out that adding 100 horsepower could theoretically be done easily, in minutes, in one’s driveway for a rather meager sum by today’s elevated standards.
Throw in an intake and exhaust to match, and he believes that the 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Sixpack could churn out a close-to-the-Hellcat 680 horsepower, to boot. While this hasn’t been totally proven in the real world yet – this is a pretty brand new product that hasn’t begun shipping, after all – the Hurricane has been around for a few years now, sold in a variety of models including the Ram 1500 RHO and Jeep Grand Cherokee, so there is some evidence to back up our claims.
We’ve seen a few tuned Ram 1500 RHOs running around, giving us a sneak peek at what’s possible in the new Charger. We’re looking at about an hour’s worth of work to install these parts – since we have to run a wire through the firewall and add a couple of things. Regardless the Diablo Sport Cat 6 tuner adds around 78 horsepower and 94 pound-feet of torque at the wheels of the newer RHO, all for a cost of $699.
JB4 also already makes a tuner for the RHO’s Hurricane, and it costs even less – around $529, but it adds a whopping 104 horsepower at the wheels, albeit with fewer bells and whistles than the Diablo. These products don’t yet exist for the 2026 Dodge Charger, but it’s a safe bet they will very soon, which could present a pretty enticing proposition for those looking to own a seriously quick new vehicle off the showroom floor – even if it will never sound quite as good as a Hemi.
