The ‘Dude’ 1500: Ram Resurrects Legend with Street Hemi Power

Fresh on the South Hall floor of SEMA 2025, this Sublime Green RAM 1500 is actually a gussied up Big Horn with sporty written all over it.
Ram just rolled out a concept truck that’s screaming a nostalgic message directly at Mopar enthusiasts, and we’re listening! Based on the Ram 1500 Big Horn trim, this stunner brings back the classic, street-focused nameplate of the 1970s: The Dude.
This concept truck flies directly in the face of the current industry trend of bigger, taller, and more off-road-capable pickups. Instead, The Dude is all about sporty, pavement-pounding style and a lowered stance, reminding us of the era of muscle trucks.

Sublime Style & Street Stance
You literally can’t miss this thing.
The concept is coated in an incredibly eye-catching color called Sublime Green—a hue familiar to anyone who loves classic Mopar muscle. It gets striking black accents and bold “Dude” decals on both sides of the bed, ensuring everyone knows this truck has attitude.
To complete the street machine look, it rides on massive 22-inch wheels. Crucially, Ram confirmed they lowered the ride height significantly. While they haven’t detailed the suspension modifications yet, the visual effect is immediate: this truck is built to hug the asphalt, not crawl over rocks.
Inside: Attitude Meets Function
The interior gets a subtle but impactful makeover:
- Bright Green Stitching: Matching the exterior, the cabin features vibrant green stitching, adding a pop of custom color.
- ‘Dude’ Badge: A unique “Dude” badge sits proudly on the passenger’s side of the dashboard.
- Integrated Safe: Adding a modern touch of utility, Ram integrated a safe right into the center console.

Hemi Power Returns (With a Twist!)
Under the hood is where The Dude delivers the goods.
Powering this street machine is the venerable 5.7-liter Hemi V8, pumping out a healthy 395 horsepower. Ram recently brought the Hemi back to the 1500 range after a brief hiatus, and it has, unsurprisingly, remained a hugely popular choice.
To enhance both performance and sound, the Hemi in The Dude is fitted with a Mopar cold-air intake system. This ensures the V8 breathes better and gives it that aggressive growl Mopar fans crave.
The Dude concept is a phenomenal throwback and a clear statement that Ram hasn’t forgotten the segment of enthusiasts who prefer street performance and style over purely off-road capability.
What do you think of Ram bringing back The Dude nameplate and embracing the street truck segment? Should they put the Sublime Green paint into production? Let us know in the forums.
