Camouflaged Truck Makes Us Wonder: What’s Going on at Ram?

By -

Two possible brand-new models, and an overhauled 1500 for 2019. What’s Ram’s future strategy?

We’ve officially crossed into the second-half of the year, and the silly season has begun. While FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) has already told us what’s new for 2018, we can’t tell you about it just yet. But we’re just as curious about what’s coming for 2019 as you are!

This video comes courtesy of The Fast Lane Truck. It features lots of good information from some of the most knowledgeable guys in the industry. But be warned: While it features the photo of a camouflaged Ram truck, they don’t necessarily speak to the image. Maybe they just did it for the clicks. If so, it worked.

But don’t worry, Anton and Roman dive deeply into Ram’s playbook for 2019. They outline how models like the Wagoneer could possibly come to life, and fight the likes of the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition. How do they know? They simply took a look at FCA’s different factories.

The factory that produced the now-defunct Chrysler 200 is being re-tooled for the future Ram 1500, which will leave the brand with three truck factories. As a result, one of them — the Warren, Michigan factory will be re-tooled for the Wagoneer, which could be unveiled as early as November at the 2017 LA Auto Show.

In the midst of all the speculation, the video also shows a few clips of the new Ram Tungsten Edition, and other Dodge products.
