Dodge ‘IN//OUT’ Heads to Germany for Exclusive Dodge Collection

IN//OUT series host Ida Zetterström visits Chrome Cars in Germany behind the wheel of a Challenger Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak.
Earlier this year Dodge introduced a new marketing campaign called IN//OUT. The idea was to build a stronger relationship between Dodge and the European market. Swedish racer Ida Zetterström is the host of the four-part series. For those not familiar with Zetterström, she competes in Top Fuel drag racing as well as in the Super Street Bike class. Dodge knows a thing or two about drag racing so having her as an ambassador and host makes perfect sense.
The third episode was recently released on the Dodge YouTube channel. And in this episode Zetterström gets into a Sinamon Stick Challenger Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak and makes her way to Germany. She is headed to Chrome Cars in Laasdorf. Chrome Cars calls themselves “Automotive Archeologists” and based on their exclusive collection of classic vehicles it is easy to see why.

The Dodge Collection
Chrome Cars has quite a few amazing vehicles in their collection but naturally IN//OUT is going to focus on the Dodge products. And there is plenty to focus on. First up are a pair of black-on-black, all-original Dodge Challengers from 1970 and 1971. Each of them has a 426 Hemi under the hood. Impressive, but not the star of the show. The star would be the 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440. What makes this car so special is that it is one of only two Dodge Chargers used in the iconic film Bullitt. The other one was blown up in the movie, so this is the only one still in existence. It is amazing that it still survives to this day and equally amazing is that it now lives in Germany.

Four Words
Zetterström sits down with Chris from Chrome Cars, and she hands him a deck of cards, each one with a single word on it. She asks him to pick four words that describe why he is into Dodge muscle cars. Independent, intense, inspiring, and incomparable are the four words selected. Any Dodge muscle car fan or owner can probably easily understand why these particular words resonate with Chris.
New Stuff
The classic cars are great, but the new cars aren’t bad either. Zetterström leads Chris to the beautiful Challenger Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak that is waiting in the parking lot. He gets behind the wheel and takes it for a drive along some beautiful German roads. He loves it. Especially the sound. We wonder what he will think of the all-electric cars that will replace this?
That is a topic for another day. As good as the Hellcat is on the road, the car is at its best on the track. And if you don’t have access to a track, then a closed airport runway will do just fine. It is on this runway where Chris launches the car and can finally experience its full potential. There is one final episode still to be released in the IN//OUT series. We can’t wait to see what that one has in store for us.
