Dodge Muscle Isn’t for Everyone, and We’re OK with That

Dodge Muscle Isn’t for Everyone, and We’re OK with That

Apparently, 75% of people think that Dodge muscle cars are too powerful. And those people are obviously wrong.

It’s hard to imagine, but there are folks out there that just don’t see the point of fast cars. Some people hate the loud noises they produce, and can’t understand why anyone would want or even need such a thing. Those people are obviously missing out on one of the biggest joys in life, in our humble opinion. But to each their own, we suppose. Dodge obviously realizes that their mega horsepower machines aren’t for everyone, and they certainly seem to be OK with that in this very cool little ad they recently came up with.

“Three out of four people think this much horsepower is excessive,” Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel reveals. “Three out of four people are wrong. If we were for everyone, we’d be for no one.” With a variety of Mopar muscle smoking rubber in the background, this defiant message rings true. After all, if going fast is wrong, who really wants to be right?

You really have to give credit to the Mopar crew for sticking with this mantra. While other automakers seemingly care more about building vanilla SUVs for the masses, Dodge continues to crank out ridiculous machines. Heck, they’re willing to stuff their blown Hellcat motor in just about anything these days, which amounts to a proverbial middle finger to the rest of the industry.

And personally, we hope that never changes. There are plenty of boring cars, SUVs, and trucks out there in the world already. If we can’t have screaming, high-powered street machines in our lives, is life really worth living? Perhaps, but it definitely won’t be as much fun.

Yes, life is most certainly better with 800 horsepower. If we’re being forced to endure dreadful commutes to our empty 9-5 jobs every weekday, why not take them in something cool? Life doesn’t have to be plain and boring, nor soul-sucking. There’s no better medicine to counteract the drain society has on us than power, and Mopar has thankfully remained committed to giving us as much of that as humanly possible.
