Dodge Publishes First Full Power Broker Dealership List
Dodge has already chosen 97 dealerships across 41 states to offer Power Broker services.
Earlier this year, the Dodge brand announced the return of the Direct Connection performance parts program, which will be offered exclusively by “Power Broker” dealerships. These dealerships will offer far more than just unique performance packages, with performance-trained members, concierge type service and the ability to order cars that will be delivered with the new high performance parts.
On March 9, Dodge issued the first list of Power Broker dealerships and with that list, the announcement that these Power Broker program is officially open for business.
“Today marks a milestone for our brand — the Dodge Power Brokers dealer network and DCPerformance.com are up and running and ready to accept orders for Direct Connection factory-backed performance parts from Dodge,” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge brand CEO – Stellantis. “Dodge Power Brokers are not only the exclusive source for Direct Connection parts, but these dealerships feature staff trained to walk enthusiasts through potential Direct Connection performance upgrades and then handle installation of Direct Connection parts, while maintaining the vehicle warranty. The network is rolling out with an initial group of nearly 100 dealers — that number is only going to grow.”
First Dodge Power Broker Dealerships
The announcement of Power Broker program being open for business is accompanied by a dedicated web page with a full list of dealerships, organized by state. Once viewing the list, you can get specific information on each dealership by clicking on the name and on those dealership pages, you will find the details on which members of the staff are handling the Power Broker program.
For example, I live in Michigan and under that state, there are five dealerships. The first dealership on the list, Szott M-59 Dodge & Ram, is the closest to my house. When I click on that dealership name, it takes me to a Direct Connection and Power Broker-specific page on their website. That page has information on the performance parts program, such as details on the uniquely trained staff members who handle sales, leasing, parts and service. This page goes on to explain that the Power Broker dealerships can help you build and modify your ideal Dodge car, with performance clinics allowing customers to get a look at the upgraded parts before buying them.
In clicking through some of the other dealerships on the Power Broker list, it looks like they all have a unique page with information on the program and how to get in touch with the people at that dealership who are trained on the Power Broker features. I used the information listed to get in touch with my nearest dealership and within a few hours, I had heard back from a member of their Power Broker team.
First Performance Kits
As was forecasted by the company a few months back, only the Dodge Challenger is currently being serviced under the Direct Connection performance parts program, so you won’t find any Charger details just yet. We know that Charger parts are coming later this spring or summer, but for now, the company is focusing on Challenger parts. More specifically, the Challenger Hellcat Redeye is the first to get the Direct Connection stage kits, which also includes the SRT Super Stock.
The Challenger Hellcat Redeye with the Pre-Stage kit jump to 802 while the SRT Super Stock with the Pre-Stage features delivers 807 horsepower. When equipped with the Stage 1 kit, the Redeye and Super Stock yield 840 horsepower and with Stage 2, the output climbs to a whopping 885 horsepower…and that is warranty-safe horsepower.
The SRT Hellcat is scheduled to be the next model to get Direct Connection parts, hopefully arriving sometime in April. Models from 2015-2018 will get 712 horsepower with the Pre-Stage kit and 747 horsepower with Stage 1 while the 2019-newer models have 10 more, with 722 with Pre-Stage and 757 with Stage 1.
Again, these kits will only be available from Power Broker dealerships and to preserve your warranty, you need to have the kits installed by a Power Broker dealership, but for those who want a factory-engineered boost in power, the Direct Connection kits are an awesome option. In fact, I am already talking to my Power Broker dealership about ordering Pre-Stage and Stage 1 for my 2017 Hellcat Challenger.
