German-kissed Hellcat Proves that Europeans Do Respect Mopar Power

Tuner GeigerCars’ ‘Cerberus’ build puts out nearly 60 more horsepower than a Demon, a definite redemption for the Daimler-Chrysler years.

Ah, ze Germans. Near-destroyers of all things Chrysler. Famous dismissers of American muscle cars. But if this is all the information you have to go on about people from the land of Porsche and Mercedes, we’ll let you in on a little secret. In recent years, the Germans have gotten pretty good at making American-style muscle. That’s right; if you’re looking for a (relatively) compact coupe with a romper-stomper V8 crammed under the hood, and hate the idea of your Challenger sharing with garage space with a Camaro or Mustang, automakers like Mercedes-AMG and Audi have you covered. And now, we have a German tuner, GeigerCars, trying its hand at some all-American Muscle: A Hellcat.

Say hello to Cerberus. Don’t worry, this car has no connection to the other company that almost killed Chrysler after the Daimler merger fiasco. No, the mad geniuses at GeigerCars have massaged the Hellcat’s supercharger and engine software and got it to pump out an incredible 890 horsepower and 791 pound-feet of torque. It’s evil, but it’s good evil.

GeigerCars’ Cerberus Hellcat also features a flared fenders, Dodge Demon-esque hood and Devil’s Rim wheels, as well as a graphics package that looks about as American as apple pie. Yankee-loving Germans can expect to pay €129,000, or $144,570 for the privilege to take a Cerberus out on the Autobahn, but to us that’s well worth it. We’d love to see one of these beauties make it stateside. But the more American muscle – especially Mopar muscle – in the old world, the better. We’d love to see Germany’s finest get embarrassed on its own turf by a big, tire-shredding American coupe.
