Ram Rebel Hellcat

Why wait for the Ram Rebel TRX when you can go ahead and stuff a Hellcat in your truck today?

We’re patiently awaiting the Hellcat-powered Dodge Ram Rebel TRX, a truck that we’ve been teased with already. For now, however, we can only dream of what 707 (or more) horsepower will do under the hood of the already formidable off-road prepped beast. Or, on the other hand, we can witness it firsthand. Thanks to a guy named Jared Petriprin, who’s already built one of his own.

Petriprin recently posted a video of his swapped Ram Rebel doing a massive burnout on Facebook. And there’s no mistaking what’s under the hood doing the work, because it’s emitting that familiar Hellcat whine. Petriprin also posted some pictures and details of the swap over on the 5thGenRams forum. And he readily admits that it wasn’t as easy as you might think.

He teamed up with America’s Most Wanted 4×4 in Holly, Michigan to make the forward-thinking build happen. It was there that the crew had to remove the cab from the frame in order to make the Hellcat fit without having to remove the blower. Even then, they had to relocate the oil filter, upgrade the fuel and cooling systems, and modify the electronics to make it all work together harmoniously.

Of course, they didn’t stop there, either. The Ram has receive a host of other upgrades. Including Fiberwerx wide body fenders and 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires wrapped around Method 701 Trail Series wheels. And there’s no guessing what lies under the hood anymore, thanks to massive “Rebel Supercharged” graphics down the side of the truck.

As far as we know, this is the first Hellcat-powered Ram Rebel out there at the moment. But don’t be surprised to see a few more pop up. After all, who wants to wait around for the real thing when you can have it now?
