Dodge Challenger Mexico Sentra Home Made

I can probably build that for cheaper.

The Dodge Challenger is a car that took years to create. Millions of dollars were spent on engineering, planning and testing. In some way, thousands of people all had a hand in crafting the modern iteration of a muscle car icon. So what happens when you skip all of that time, money, and man power to create a Dodge Challenger?

Well apparently, you get this… thing. We found this gem over on the Instagram page of Supercarspotter69. If you are not familiar, this self-proclaimed “meme lord” hosts some of silliest, ugliest and most WTF?! cars ever seen on planet earth. But back to this “Challenger.”

Those with sharp eyes, or any eyes at all really, will notice that this car is not in fact a Dodge Challenger. The base sheet metal looks to be an old Nissan Sentra, but the rest is pure custom. The hood, fenders, and most of the front end assembly has been modified in some way. The original Sentra bumper did have a big chin, but this particular front bumper could be a totally custom unit.

Of course, there is no way to replicate the glory of the V8 roar from a real Challenger. Seeing the language on the wall, we assume this is Mexico or South America. That means that legally, whoever owns this car can’t buy a new Challenger. So we guess this is just the next best thing.

dodge charger fake not bad

Honestly, once you get over the blasphemy and silliness, we kind of dig it. The actual fabrication work and paint looks incredibly solid for what is most assuredly a home mechanic’s work. The panel joint where the hood meets the fender is unbelievably clean for a whacko with a sawzall. Maybe it’s just insanity setting in, but the longer we stare at this thing, the more we like it. In fact, the only wrong with this photo is that we don’t get a chance to see the back end. You can tell the rear features some fabrication as well with the elongated trunk deck and sharp fender fall towards the bumper.

(Editor’s Note: We’d like to apologize to our writer. After staring directly at this photo for too long, he appears to have had a mental breakdown. He has been sent home with a large bottle of whisky and a copy of Vanishing Point. We expect him to make a full recovery).
