Kevin Hart’s Michael Myers Halloween-themed Plymouth Road Runner resto-mod is so good it’s scary!

Michael Myers is arguably one of the scariest characters to stalk people in horror movies. Part of what makes him so creepy is the plain white mask. But he also appears subdued which belies menace as an evil force of nature.

Many of the same things are true about the original Plymouth Road Runner. The plain-looking mid-size Mopar belies a sense of menace and was a force of nature in the muscle car era. But what does Michael Myers have to do with a Plymouth Road Runner? How about a guy with an appreciation for both horror movies and muscle cars – Kevin Hart.

Kevin Hart collects muscle cars like Michael Myers obsesses with killing teenagers. The actor/comedian owns some impressive iron including vintage muscle and resto-mods. Recently he teamed up with Dave Salvaggio to create a custom 1969 Road Runner called Michael Myers. Instead of chalky white to match the mask, the car is painted BASF black. Subtle orange accents complement the shadowy color, mimicking a Halloween theme. The interior includes subtle and not-so-subtle nods to Myers. Fake blood splatter speckles the seats, dashboard, and headliner. A knife-handle shifter cuts through the gears. And lurking in the gauges is the shadow of Michael Myers.

The blood theme continues to the engine bay with a blood-red 426 HEMI complete with Whipple supercharger, Demon cam, and Demon heads. This setup makes 940-horsepower, unleashing the Road Runner like a monster from hell. A Tremec 6060 six-speed manual transmission harnesses that power enabling the car to run down teenagers. The custom chassis and suspension help it slash through corners. Brembo brakes paired with a Detroit Speed master cylinder make sure the car comes to a screaming halt when you stab the brake pedal.

The Road Runner is seriously old school. Custom HRE wheels include classic ’60s style hubcaps and a blacked-out appearance gives it a classic muscle-car vibe. According to Salvaggio, it’s also one of the best driving muscle cars he’s ever built.

It’s also very streetable, able to handle traffic like a regular car. The Magnaflow exhaust system provides the requisite rumble, sounding menacing yet subdued loafing around town. Yet when you stand on the loud pedal, it roars with that authoritative HEMI sound backed by supercharger whine.

As an added bonus, Reymar Footwear created a custom pair of Nike sneakers, belt, and wallet using leftover upholstery. These personal touches combined with the one-off Halloween theme, performance, and craftsmanship make this build truly unique. They clearly slayed Kevin Hart’s expectations as you can see in the video below.
