New 2019 Charger Hellcat Gets Challenger-style Grille Intake
Dodge is now teasing the new Charger Hellcat, with even fewer details compared to last week’s Challenger teaser.
Here we go again.
The 2019 Dodge Charger Hellcat is on way, along with it’s bigger brother the 2019 the Challenger Hellcat. In this latest teaser, we get a glimpse of what the new fascia will look like. Besides that, details on the rest of the car are more scant than ever.
According to FCA, “The Dodge Charger – America’s only four-door muscle car and the sales leader in the large car segment for five years running – is doubling down with upgrades inside and out for the 2019 model year. Among the changes, high-performance Charger models get an all-new grille design, which extends the sinister-looking front end to accentuate visual width and reflects Charger customers’ continuous demand for standout exterior design. More information to come this summer …”
Occam’s razor—we’re interpreting this simply as, “a widebody Charger Hellcat with a grille intake will come this summer.” So not much will be different body-wise.
A wise decision, no less. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken. We already saw the public’s reaction to the 2019 Camaro refresh.
