This weathered Chrysler 300 will set you apart from the crowd without causing a ruckus — until you put the pedal to the metal.

The greatest custom car show in America is just a couple of weeks away, but we’re already getting small glimpses of some of the coolest rides headed there. And so far, this 1961 Chrysler 300 could be the absolute coolest.

Of course, SEMA isn’t just a car show. It’s a trade show the size of a small town. And it’s dedicated to everything that makes the automotive industry tick. The result is a larger-than-life spectacle that’s paradise for gearheads.

One of the thousands of companies bringing their creations to the Las Vegas event is Centerforce Clutches. Its centerpiece Chrysler was built by Classic Car Studio Speed Shop. The patina-rich coupe rocks MHT Wheels, a Ridetech Suspension, and a thumpin’ Kicker Audio stereo.

While that’s cool and all, it’s what’s under the hood that’s truly impressive. It’s an 8.0-liter V10 Viper engine with 450 horsepower. We’re sure it can send this rusty ‘ole boy into triple-digit speeds in no time!

Of course, this is all possible thanks to a Centerforce DYAD clutch, and a set of Wilwood disc brakes which make sure things can come to a stop as fast as they took off.

If you plan on visiting SEMA this year, you can check out this sweet ride in person at booth #23813, where the folks of Velocity TV’s hit new show “Speed is the New Black” will be signing autographs alongside UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett.
