7.0L 2010 Dodge Charger

Your neighbors might not be happy, but you will be with this incredible sounding 7.0L 2010 Dodge Charger.

If you were to plot a graph of the best sounding cars, on one side you would have the golf cart sounding EVs. On the other side you would have this 7.0L 2010 Dodge Charger. Think of it as the cure for electric vehicles. Of course, it is all fun and games until your neighbors complain about the noise. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still have some fun in this wicked Dodge.

This week’s “Wicked Wednesday” is all about this 2010 Dodge Charger that is running a 7.0L Hemi V8. It was running headers and straight pipes until the neighbors complained about the noise. So, a set of Flowmaster Outlaw mufflers were installed to make it a little “quieter.” It might be a little quieter at idle, but it is still as loud as a thunderclap when you get on it. A clip of this Charger making noise was recently posted to the Exhaust Addicts YouTube channel. If you love Mopar music, you are going to love this video.

The Car

A 2010 Dodge Charger with a Hemi is a cool car already. But you don’t get featured as one of our wicked cars by being merely cool. This Charger stands out because of the big 7.0L V8 stuffed under the hood. In the beginning of the video, we get to hear this beast rev while breathing free. No power numbers were quoted but based on the sound we would guess a million horsepower. Obviously, that is a joke, but what is not a joke is the letter the owner of the car received a few months later from his neighbors. Apparently, the car was too loud for their liking, and it kept waking them up. So, they asked him to tone it down.

127 Decibels

To help keep the peace a set of Flowmaster Outlaw mufflers were installed on the Dodge. They don’t exactly transform the car into a whisper quiet EV. In fact, there is a decibel meter in the shop and after a few revs it is said that the peak number was 127 decibels. To put that in perspective that falls somewhere between a clap of thunder and the noise in a football stadium during the Super Bowl. And in our opinion this Dodge sounds better than both.

Exhaust

Smoke

What good is all this noise and power if you don’t smoke the tires a little? And when we say a little, we mean a lot. This 7.0L 2010 Dodge Charger can do some epic burnouts and sounds great while doing them. Right in front of the shop the driver puts down a nice set of black stripes while rocketing off into the distance. That is what driving a Mopar is all about.

Listen Up

The video is below and there is no way we can describe the sound of this car as well as you listening to it yourself. Turn up your speakers and listen to this Hemi howl. Just try not to tick off your neighbors too much.
