Wicked Wednesday: Mopar Debuts Ram TRX Gold Shot Concept at SEMA 2022

Ram TRX Gold Shot

The Ram TRX Gold Shot takes the 702-horsepower super truck and transforms it into a high-speed toy hauler for motocross enthusiasts.

The Ram TRX needs no introduction. The SEMA show also needs no introduction. But when the combination of the two results in a Ram TRX Gold Shot Concept vehicle that does demand an introduction. SEMA 2022 ran from November 1 – 4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In the Mopar display area I spotted the Ram TRX that clearly looked different from the stock truck. The most obvious modification was the Satin Bitter Yellow and Satin Black paint scheme and TRX side graphics. But this concept truck is much more than a paint job.

This week’s “Wicked Wednesday” is all about this Ram TRX Gold Shot Concept. The TRX is a high-speed adventure truck right out of the gate. But this particular truck is also hauling a couple of motocross bikes in the bed for when you want to ramp up the adventure to the next level. Providing easy access to the bikes is the Mopar bed step that lowers and retracts with a simple push. But wait, there is more. Much more.

Interior

Interior

There is a lot going on with the exterior of this truck, but let’s take a closer look at the inside first. The TRX Gold Shot Concept has Alaska Gold stitching throughout the interior. This stitching matches the Satin Bitter Yellow exterior. The sports seats are wrapped in Capri leather with perforated Alcantara suede inner bolsters. Gold Spinneybeck leather chaser stripes again play off the exterior color. The front seats have the TRX logo embroidered on the upper back panels. Mopar logos are on the outboard shoulder bolster. For easy cleaning the vinyl floor from the Ram 1500 Tradesman is used in this concept truck.

Exterior Upgrades

TRX Gold Shot

Black Rhino Chamber wheels are finished in Vintage Bronze. They are 18×9.5 inches and are wrapped with 37-inch BFGoodrich tires. Directly behind the cab is a RamBar accessory bar with a pair of 14-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights. These lights are capable of producing 4,300 lumens. The truck bed is protected with a Mopar spray-in textured bedliner. Speaking of protection. There are custom metal skid plates front and rear with laser-etched Mopar lettering. The front skid plate increases the approach angle by 2.3 degrees compared to the stock truck, giving it a new total of 32.5 degrees. The side sills are protected with Mopar rock rails. Out back are a pair of 5-inch black Mopar exhaust tips to finish off the look.

Overall

RAM

The Ram TRX Gold Shot Concept is not a wild pie in the sky concept vehicle. As you can see most of the upgrades come right from the Mopar catalog. So, it would be fairly easy to duplicate most of this build on your own TRX. There are no shortage of options when it comes to wraps nowadays so you can mimic this color scheme or choose your own to make your truck standout. What this concept shows more than anything is just how amazing the stock TRX is. And how simple it can be to take it to the next level of looks and functionality.
