i was thinking about putting a fuel pressure gauge under the hood just for ****s and giggles and because it would look cool

You should, as, I will tell ya, that gage is really helpful in monitoring fuel related issues and, without it, I would have not found that leak yesterday. It was just a weep at the o-ring interface that was allowing air to enter in the lines as well as slight wetting of the fitting. Had I not been changing the oil and noted a 40 psi drop in less than ten minutes, I wouldn't have seen it. Highly recommend placing on in-line for sure.

where should i place it (everything fuel related on my truck's stock)
on one of the rails or the supply line somewhere?

im going to when i do my plenum this winter

you have to be sure to use a good quality one as they often are the source of leaks themselves....

Hello,

The placement does not matter so long as you can easily see it. On a stock setup, you have only two options and they are:

- At the quick disconnect at the rail or,

- At / off the Schrader Valve.
