Hi i was just wondering if anyone could help me with this... i have a 1997 dodge avenger ES and when i open the drivers side door, the interior lights wont come on.. When i open the passenger side door they come on once in a great while if im lucky, has anyone had this problem???

 

Probably your door switches going bad.

My driver's side switch was bad so I swapped them so now the passenger side is dead.

 

Not too long ago siler posted a trick to cleaning the door switchs because they get a gunky nasty build up inside them. all you need to do is take them out and spray some wd40 down in where the pin is and move push it in and out a million and a half times lol, kidding but you have to do it a lot i did this too both sides and poof! it worked great i have lights all the time now lol..

ok thanks guys i went to autozone today and replaced both of them and they work great thanx for the help
