Default Coil pack

I have a 1995 Avenger ES and I can't seem to locate where the coil pack is, I don't have the original manual for it, and the Haynes book doesn't really help me out. Anyone know?

do you have the 2.5 or the 2.0?...the 2.0 (on my 98 newayz) is right on top u cant miss it..
not sure bout the 2.5 v6 tho..;(
but the 2.0 is right on top of the valve cover
well it appears that the 2.6 v6 runs an actual distributor.so i guess it has an external coil ..just follow the coil wire..

on the 2.5 you dont have a coil pack exactly, Its in your distrbuter so you have to get a new distrbuter if it goes bad.

Right, the I4 is the distributorless motor and the V6 is the one with a distributor.
The V6 is under the intake pipe, so you'll have to remove the intake pipe to get to it.
As said above, the coilpack is on top of the valve cover, you can't miss it. It's the one with the spark plug wires coming out of it on either side (for future referrence to the I4 guys).

V6 2.5 - I'm researching the coil/distributor right now myself. I have 1996 ES that won't start. The coil is integrated into the distributor as stated above it is on the drivers side below the intake manifold. I have tested for fuel flow and thats good. I have done a rudimentary test for spark (pulled the wire and cranked looking for a spark to no avail) so now I need to refine that a bit. Luckily my car died in the driveway, but to get it to a garage to have it looked at means paying for a tow, so I'll spend a few days trying to figure out whats wrong first.
