My friend has a 95 avenger v-6 and the starter fuse under the hood keeps blowing. Checked starter cable by pulling it off and nothing bare. Started once then on retry blew and ideas on what I am missing? My friends don't have alot of money to spend so trying to do it as cheap as possible.

 

It might be a bad spot in the starter motor ... It hit once and was ok then it was on the bad spot and blew the fuse

 

Replace the starter, the bendex drive is shorting the fuse out.

 

It blew on them while driving. Still possibly the starter?

 

I doubt it blew while driving ... it's not getting any power when driving only when cranking ... It might have blew when it was last started ...
