Default coilover/lowering spring question.

Hey everyone, i have heard in the past that if you are going to lower your car, if you are a daily driver, then go with lowering springs and if you just use it for show go wiht the coilovers... why is that? what is so different between the coilovers and springs besides the fact that coilovers you can ajust the height of ur ride and springs cant?? so y springs for daily drivers.

That's a good write up too BV... I highly recommend looking at that link.

The bottom line to coilovers vs. springs in terms of ride quality is that lowering springs keep a good amount of road shock off the the body and off of your body. It lowers the car but retains a good amount of the stock ride feel.
Coilovers on the other hand will be very stiff and uncomfortable for most that like a smooth ride. This is assuming that you get the correct spring rates. You don't want to get spring rates that are less than the originals.
In terms of modifications..BV write up states it all IMO.
